Politics has successfully seeped into every bit of our consciousness this year. Sure, it's always impacted our lives, but these days, even playing a particular song or supporting a specific artist can have intense ramifications. That goes for Taylor Swift, too.

The singer, who released her sixth record, reputation, this year, is as much known for her songwriting skills as for her attempt to remain a political-free brand. It's not that she doesn't have her own beliefs, of course, but more that she is silent about them, and a myriad of other relevant issues. This is something that's backfired for her in various ways.

Most recently, it's caused some drama within The Swift Life, the brand new utopia-in-app-form for any Swift stan, or Swifties. As The Daily Beast reported on Tuesday, it's already become a war zone of political head-butting between Trump supporters and others.

It's only been a few days of the app's existence, but fan accounts from Swift stans (and Katy Perry stans, yikes) took to Twitter to share screenshots from The Swift Life, the free platform that connects her fans. One screenshot that has been widely circulated shows one fan defending Trump supporters and Republicans because of his support for "our troops," and another saying she does not "accept gays lesbians and bisexuals." Though the validity of the screenshots and accounts have been disputed amongst fan accounts on Twitter, the screenshots that have garnered attention are embedded below.

Another screenshot shows a fan posting about why they disagree with Hillary Clinton's politics, once again citing "the safety of our troops."

"I don't need to explain myself but there are people who voted for reasons other than Trump being a bigoted, sexist homephobe [sic]," a user named Britt wrote.

Meanwhile, others were just gauging who was pro-Clinton or not, sparking a back-and-forth on whether fans of Trump or Clinton get priority when it comes to meeting Swift herself.

These aren't the only controversial topics. A quick search of the hashtag #blacklivesmatter (you can only search hashtags on the app) shows 13 posts in support of the movement.

Along with various screenshots of a political nature are tweets from fans — some of whom are, yes, Trump supporters, but want to focus on what's important: Swift, who dominates every aspect of the space, naturally.

Enter the app, a cluttered display of cats, levels to unlock, and Taymojis, and the political hotbed The Swift Life is portrayed to be isn't really clear. It's mostly filled with no ill will or drama in sight. Upon arrival to TSL, you're greeted by a standard set of guidelines requesting users to make the app "a safe and inclusive place for everyone to enjoy," and a note asking fans to report bullying or harassment.

Many of the users portrayed in the screenshots still have accounts, and have since posted about being bullied off of the app because of their now-deleted posts. Others, including those who have spoken up in opposition to the president, claim they do not feel safe in the space.

Swift keeps her political beliefs shoved behind a very thick curtain. Just last month, she and her camp came under fire for threatening a ACLU-backed blogger who had written a piece about links between Swift's music and white supremacy. There is no denying that alt-right websites have latched onto Swift as an icon, and while she has not embraced the title whatsoever, she also hasn't denounced white supremacy on her social media platforms, though her lawyers have on her behalf ("Let this letter stand as a yet another unequivocal denouncement by Ms. Swift of white supremacy and the alt-right," a letter obtained by the ACLU on behalf of Swift reads).

If all of thatis happening on our day-to-day social networks, it's no surprise a bit would be leaking out onto a Swift-specific platform. Whether or not she will actually do anything about it will be a Christmas miracle for someone out there.

UPDATE: Dec. 19, 2017, 6:41 p.m. EST This piece has been updated to include additional information regarding tweets regarding The Swift Life and quote from Swift's lawyers regarding white supremacy.
