There are seven regions in Oregon, each possessing its own unique history, culture, and natural beauty. One could spend a lifetime in the state without ever discovering all of its wonders.

In the high and dry, snow-capped mountains of Eastern Oregon, the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute is the only tribal-run Native American museum along the Oregon Trail’s route. At the other end of the state, one can visit the world’s only Bigfoot trap or pick up a quirky souvenir at Portland’s Hippo Hardware. 

Despite what you (and your cattle) may have learned playing The Oregon Trail, winter is actually the perfect time for Oregonians and visitors alike to head out for an adventure. These seven destinations make up an unusual trail for a different type of pioneer.
